Pampered Wedding Shower

8 Oct

Pamper shower 3 Pamper shower 4

I was invited to a “pampered’ wedding shower a few months ago and thought that theme was such a cute idea!  Then I had to think of what ‘pampered’ meant to me!

So apparently pampered means vodka, a traveler mug, bath salts, coconut lotion, a face mask, chocolate and a nail file.  Loved putting this gift together!  Oh, also, I am obsessed with bins, so I put it in a bin!

My tiniest baby turned 1!

Obviously, I did a lot of pink along with a touch of a flamingo theme.  Pink solo cups for our keg of beer in a pink bucket!  Pink flamingo’s in the yard as well as a giant flamingo balloon attached to Emory’s highchair.  My aunt brought over pink dahlia’s from her garden for a few arrangements and we coated as much as we could in pink party table cloths from Target and Party City.  I made a round tiny white cake, so the cake mess would be white instead of brown chocolate, and coated it in pink sprinkles.

Photo’s above done by the amazing Lance Mercer

I also cut the letters of her name out of card board, painted them in glue and covered them in white glitter as you can see below.  So easy and fun!

My Latest DIY’s

For Valentines Day, I traced my 3 year old son’s hands, which took about an hour to get him to hold still, and sent off to family members.  I positioned his hands so that there was a heart in the middle and had him embellish them with heart stickers.  My son loved putting stickers on and ‘helping!’  Happy late Vday y’all!

My 2nd project was making tissue paper tassel garland.  They are super simple to make and look really cute under my daughters mermaid wall sticker above her crib!  She needed some white on that dark gray wall.

Here is a great tutorial on how to make them from HGTV:  http://www.hgtv.com/design/make-and-celebrate/entertaining/make-your-own-tissue-paper-tassel-garland

I have decided that I want to get good at wreath making!

Here is my Christmas wreath for our front door.

My mom picked me up a blank foam wreath from Michaels, as you can see in the first couple pictures above.  Then I just picked up several tubes of balls in different sizes from the Target $1 section and then hot glued the balls to the wreath.  I took off the tops of the balls where the hook attaches, put glue on the top of the ball tits and shuved them into the foam wreath.  Works like a charm!  Hubs got me a bling bling wreath hook for the door too!

I LOVE Christmas!

Baby Girls Accessory Wall

29 Jun

I covered an old canvas that I had with some super cute fabric. I just simply used a hot glue gun to get the fabric to stick, so it was really easy and quick!

Then, one of my amaz girlfriends put together the white picture frames with ribbons for holding accessories as a gift at my baby shower!

And my final touch was two cute wall hooks from Land of Nod for her coats, hats, scarves, etc. For now, the hook will hold the Boppy pillow.

Easter!

5 May

Well, here I am out of the depths of two sicknesses while pregnant!  I wish that horrible stomach bug upon no one!  Not even my worst enemy!  Wooosh, that was insane!  And my hubs got it too.  Ok, I am done!

Easter is my 2nd favorite holiday next to Christmas!  I love decorating eggs, getting my son a cute new outfit, hiding eggs, Easter bunny pics, etc.!  I love all things Easter!  Here are some of my paper mache’ eggs that I decorated with my mom and her bff.  One before pic and one after.  We painted a couple coats on each egg and then glued various gems, bling and sticker strips to them.  Some we left plain as well.

Happy late Easter! XO

Fabric Covered Cork Board

7 Jan

I covered a cork board in some fabric for my mom for Christmas.  I used furniture nails to nail down the fabric and give it the upholstery nail look.  After I was done with the nails, I hot glued the fabric to the back of the board.  I think it turned out great and my mom loves it!  Such a quick cute gift idea!

Ross Moss final

I wanted a cute quick fall decoration and here it is!  My husband was out mushroom picking and found me some bright green moss and white-ish rocks.  I washed up the rocks, and tossed the moss on top!  Perfect for fall!  I might just put it on the table for Thanksgiving?

Happy Fall!

Pumpkins

Pumpkin Seeds

Well, I did it!  I tried out the infamous pumpkin drilling!  My son, husband and I cleaned out the pumpkins and then my husband got out his drill and we drilled random designs into our pumpkins!  It was fun and fast!  Then hubs roasted the pumpkin seeds and we drank a beer and snacked on them. mmmmmmm  I believe this pumpkin drilling business will be added to our annual pumpkin carving.  Its so fun and you don’t have to worry about cutting off your finger with a knife.

Pictures of our pumpkins lite up will be added soon!
